Palawan Administrative Divisions

Palawan includes 433 barangays in 23 regions and the capital City of Puerto Princesa. As an archipelago, Palawan has 13 territory regions and 10 island towns. There are three congressional areas, to be specific: the primary locale containing five northern terrain regions and nine island towns; the second region made out of six southern territory towns and the island region of Balabac; and the third region covering the capital City of Puerto Princesa and the town of Aborlan. Thirteen districts are considered as terrain regions, in particular Aborlan, Narra, Quezon, Sofronio EspaƱola, Brooke's Point, Rizal, and Bataraza (found south); San Vicente, Roxas, Dumaran, El Nido, and Taytay (found in the north). The rest of the island districts are: Busuanga, Coron, Linapacan and Culion (shaping the Calamianes gathering of islands), Cuyo, Agutaya and Magsaysay (the Cuyo gathering of islands), Araceli, Cagayancillo, Balabac and Kalayaan (Spratly Islands). The capital, Puerto Princesa is a profoundly urbanized city that administers itself autonomously from the area, yet it generally assembled with the region for factual and geographic purposes.
