In 1902, after the Philippine-American War, the Americans built up common lead in northern Palawan, calling it the area of Paragua. In 1903, in accordance with Philippine Commission Act No. 1363, the territory was rearranged to incorporate the southern bits and renamed Palawan, and Puerto Princesa announced as its capital.
Many changes and activities were later presented in the territory. Development of school structures, advancement of horticulture, and conveying individuals nearer to the legislature were among the need arranges amid this period.
