Palawan Flora and Fauna

Not at all like the majority of the Philippines, Palawan is biogeographically some portion of Sundaland, with a fauna and greenery identified with that found in Borneo.

Among the numerous endemic species are the Palawan peacock-fowl, Philippine mouse-deer, Philippine pangolin, Palawan hairy pig, and Palawan birdwing. In the woods and meadows, the air reverberates with the tunes of more than 200 sorts of fowls. More than 600 types of butterflies vacillate around the mountains and fields of Palawan, pulled in to about 1500 hosts plants found here. Jeopardized ocean turtles settle on white sand shorelines. Dugong numbers have fallen truly, despite the fact that Palawan still has a bigger populace than whatever other piece of the country[36] and associations, for example, Community Centered Conservation (C3) are attempting to end the unsustainable utilization of marine assets in Palawan and in Philippines.
